Past Experiences

We just had a wonderful experience with a team of 10 women. Most of them were mothers and some even grandmothers. Some of them had never even been camping before. Boy, were they in for a surprise! These ten ladies had a wealth of experience; a few were proficient in interpretive dance and mime, others were teachers in the church and school by profession, still others were on staff at large churches as pastors, one was a director of a day care, and others were full time prophets and evangelist.

They did a women’s conference here in Maun and also out in the bush. It was very well received and very fruitful. The testimony from ladies in Maun as well as out in the bush was that it was Biblical and very practical. They also held a one day conference for business women. Quality, heart felt, specialized ministry worked and it worked greatly in the lives of those the came in contact with! Pictured above is a foot washing service the ladies held in the bush during which time they humbly washed the feet of all those in attendance.

"I was just on Teen Mania's A trip... Last month consisted of the most life changing 20 days I have ever experienced. "

We want to give the people here knowledge from seasoned people. The people here are hungry to grow. If you are a lay leader, pastor, or a Christian Business man or woman I challenge you to get a team together and come to Botswana and share you wealth of knowledge with people who are eager and hungry to grow. We can’t promise you that we will fill huge arenas with thousands of people or that we can put you up in a luxury hotel as you prepare to minister each day.

What you will get here is at best mud or cement huts with 20 to 70 beautiful African men and women hungry to be fed and equipped. We just had a pastor’s wife of a church of 5,000 that has been on many mission trips around the world tell us that this was one of the most impacting trips that she has ever been on and that she is going to try earnestly to get her husband others from her church to come out and partner with us! Seasoned laborers in the Lord, we need you and welcome you.

Sharing Jesus and being involved in projects that show the community we care takes a lot of time, hard labor, money, and energy – but that planting reaps a harvest for eternity. Because of what these missionaries and Love Botswana have invested – the harvest is great. In VDW alone, there were 6,100 children in the villages that heard and saw the Good News that Jesus loves them! We have 1,500 salvation commitments and about 200 people that were involved in our Discipleship Training.

Part of the harvest we have seen is at the Maun Village Church with forty salvations and twelve of those are going through our eight week discipleship course. We are grateful to our outreach staff this year, consisting of permanent & short term missionaries. It has been a successful Outreach Season and we look forward to our follow up work where seeds were planted as a result of the hard work of so many
