Sample Itenerary

Day 1
After arriving in Maun, you will be introduced to the Outreach & LBOM Staff. You will get to know your host missionaries, Jerry & Jana Lackey, learn more specifics about your ministry and of course, set up your tent and be a part in helping set up camp.

Day 2
Sunday ministry in the Maun Village Church. Some team members will be chosen to volunteer in the Children's Ministry with puppets, games, songs and plain ol' fun with the kids! Following church, your project will conclude country orientation and perhaps even have a couple hours of free time in the afternoon.

Days 3-6
Minister in the village of Maun. Reach out in the marketplaces, work projects on the Plot (affectionate term for our facility), and school presentations focusing on abstinence and the Good News!

Day 7
Enjoy a free day before breaking camp in Maun. Enjoy some shopping or take advantage of an authentic African safari that may be available for a reasonable cost. Then prepare to head into the African Bush!

Day 8
Break camp in Maun, pack up the trucks, and trek to a rural village that your project will target for the next week. Once there, you will set up your camp site, prepare your camp fires and prepare for meeting.

Days 9-15
You will be conducting Village Discovery Week in the village school for children, ministering to people through hut2hut evangelism, be a part of a rural Village Church, and be the one to hand a Samaritan’s Purse gift to the village children! We may also have the opportunity to show the Jesus Film to the entire village!

Day 16
Break camp and return to Maun. In the evening, listen to testimonies of what God did in the villages.

Day 17
Enjoy some free time in the morning before beginning the voyage back home.

Day 18
Travel Home

SPECIAL
Most teams travel to Victoria Falls for fun, bargaining in the market, and being down right pampered!
