Regional Launch Center

The Timing is Strategic.

This is the mobilization phase of our ministry. To maximize the opportunity in the minimal time – to redeem the time, for the days are evil – a 23,000 square meter multi-purpose training, communication and launch center is being established.

Launch Center will include:

• A regional radio broadcast station
• 24 hour Intercessory Prayer Command Center
• Administration/media department offices
• Resource center and gift shop
• Classrooms for 750 students
• Library and Chapel
• Cross-cultural Intern Training Center
• Hospice / Medical Center
• Housing / Facilities for vulnerable children
• Boarding dorm for 100 OIS students
• Covered recreation areas
• Cafeteria to serve hot meals
• Dormitory for 100 multi-national African Bible school students
• Missionary housing
• Environmental Resource Center
• 400 seat auditorium
• Youth Sports Center

This strategically located command facility will serve to help mobilize and coordinate the efforts of Christians not only from Botswana, but the entire central and southern region of Africa. Simultaneously, it will also train and equip emerging Christian leaders.

The Launch Center reflects a key and very timely strategy for the continent of Africa. It will indeed serve to train, launch and coordinate mature African Christians to develop Africa as God intends for this hour. But it will also equip and release them to penetrate hard-to-reach areas of darkness in other parts of the world with the love and power of Jesus, as Africa itself moves into the overflow of the Spirit's outpouring now emerging. It is a means to release Africans into the fullness that God intends Africa to play in its role in world affairs for this hour.

The timing of this new phase of ministry makes it much more than a building project. We find ourselves at the right place at the right time with unusual opportunities before us. This launch center will be a catalyst -- a launch pad for releasing God's purposes and strategies for bringing Africa into its finest hour.

Importance & Timing

The Launch Center is both strategic and significant, not just for Botswana but also in terms of what God is doing in releasing Africa into her finest hour. The Launch Center is designed to impact the pivotal central/southern region of the African continent.

We shall begin to assist in supporting, mobilizing and coordinating efforts of existing Christian groups in this region, while training and equipping additional Christian leaders from across central and southern Africa to strategically and effectively penetrate the infrastructures of their individual nations with the love and power of Jesus. As this objective begins being realized, it is expected that many of these powerful African leaders will be making an impact for the Lord beyond the borders of their own nations and beyond even the borders of Africa.

Why Botswana?

Botswana is a centrally located gateway into southern and central Africa. Botswana is stable. It has a democratic government, largely untouched by the corruption of terrorist infrastructure that has plagued and held back certain other African nations. Likewise, there is a basic absence of tribal conflicts in Botswana. Botswana has a vibrant economy and it is open to the Gospel. Botswana is a landlocked republic in southern Africa. It is bordered by South Africa, Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Other close-by nations include Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire), Lesotho, Swaziland, Malawi and Mozambique. Maun is pivotally located within roughly a day's drive of many of these nations!
