Q1. How did OIS start?

Q2. Where do funds come from?

OIS Buildings are built through funds of partners with Jerry & Jana Lackey Ministries. Inc. in America. The school is working toward becoming self-supporting when development and school fees are able to sustain all programs. More Information.


Q3. What kind of education system do you follow?

We largely follow the British System of Education.


Q4. Which age do children start at OIS?

Pre-primary classes are available from age 3. More Information


Q5. How many students and teachers do you have in your school and in one class?

As of May 2008, we have 220 students in the school. 100 of the students are age 3 to std. 7. We have no more then 25 students per classroom. There are currently 25 teachers and assistants.


Q6. Which Nations do students and teachers come from?

We have students and or teachers from the following nations: Botswana, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, America, India, Poland, Finland, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand, England, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Holland, Lebanon, India, Wales, and Mozambique.

Q8. What challenge do you have at the present time?

Growth in the size of our student body has demanded more classroom space. An additional boarding facility is desperately needed. Continued financial support to meet the needs of the growing student body.


Q9. What kind of future plans do you have?

In the future, we will be moving towards The International Baccalaureate Curriculum. In addition to the IGCSE programme currently offered.
