About Us
The school curriculum prepares students for the IGCSE programme. Environmental concepts are incorporated into the curriculum to make this a unique learning facility with an environmental ethos, in keeping with the name & situation of the school, on the threshold of the Okavango Delta.
The School Day
Junior School
8:30am - 1:00pm

The day starts at 8:30am and concludes at 1pm. The afternoon programme for Standard 2 and up includes music, environmental education, book club, swimming, ball games & enrichment classes.


Senior School
7:30am - 3:45pm

The academic day starts at 7:30am and ends at 2:30pm. Afternoon studies, art class, drama, music, chess and interact club take place during the afternoon sessions & are followed by sporting activities.

Student Uniforms

The beige coloured school shirt is worn with regular fit dark blue denim trousers or a denim skirt. Junior students wear denim shorts or short skirts. These may be ordered through the school office. School shirts, the green winter top, school hat or cap are available from the school office. Students are to wear predominantly white track shoes or takkies with short white socks, or brown sandals or strops. Seniors change for P.E. into navy blue boxer shorts and a white round necked T-shirt. No jewelry may be worn apart from watches. Gold or silver stud earrings may be worn by girls only, one stud per ear.

Boarding

There is currently a brand new boarding dormitory under construction due to be finished in July of 2007. Until it is finished we offer limited boarding facilities on the school campus. Transportation Vehicles
The Okavango School bus provides transport to and from school at a nominal charge per term. The school also has the use of safari overland vehicles for field trips.
